The WOD is a 17 minute AMRAP of:
40 Burpees (to a target 6″ beyond your reach)
30 Snatches (75/45)
30 Snatches (135/75)
30 Snatches (165/100)
Snatches (210/120) in the remaining time
Basically a combination of 12.1 (7 minutes of Burpees) and 12.2 (Snatch Ladder) or as Mike C put it only in CrossFit would math like 12.1 +12.2 = 13.1 show up.
There will be a few of us hitting this tonight. It looks like there will be sometime available on Friday afternoon before class with Dave and I might be able to do some as well during the class.
The Saturday class schedule has been posted here … there are four 45 minute sessions for 12 people each. If that fills up or you can’t make it let us know if you need to go Friday or we can make alternate arrangements for Sunday afternoon.
The CrossFit Games Open starts tomorrow night with the announcement of WOD 13.1. In addition to the 31 people registered on the team (and climbing), everyone will get a chance to do the Open on Saturdays.
There will be a Certified Judge on site to Validate scores, but they may not be judging you personally. Saturdays will run much like it did this past Saturday with folks judging each other to ensure attaining standards.
PEI Taekwondo is hosting the Taekwondo Provincials this weekend so Saturday will be a little different. All of the adult classes running downtown (49 Pownal) starting at 8:00 am. You will need to sign up for these sessions so please check the online schedule starting Thursday as we will post the sessions based on the time required by the workout after it is posted. The Teens class will continue to be uptown at Enman Crescent but will run from 9:00 am to 9:40 am.
Standards will be reviewed at beginning of class and there will a link on our website linking to the ‘Games’ site where more details can be obtained in advance. If you a Registered Open Competitor familiarize yourself with the Standards in advance of the class. The Trainer running the class is there for the group not for personalized games programming, coaching, judging, etc…
If you are a serious Open competitor with Regionals or Games goals ensure you contact a Judge in advance of the class if possible, and arrange when you are going to get together. If you can’t make Saturdays there may be some time available before the class on Friday (please post to comments if this is something that you would like to do). If you are wanting to have a Certified Judge to judge you at that time or an alternate time you should be offering the Judge 10$ for their time.
